The Government of Telangana, Scheduled Castes Development Department in Warangal District implementing certain Welfare Activities for the benefit of the people belongs to Scheduled Caste as detailed below.

  1. Maintenance of Govt. S.C Pre-Metric Hostels and Post Metric Institutions in Warangal District:

A )Pre-Metric Hostels:

`               All the (5) pre metric hostel boarders admitted in SCDD Hostels are being supplied with Note Books, 4 pairs of Dresses, Bedding-Material, etc.

The Telangana Government has increased Diet and Cosmetic Charges w,e,f 01.11.2024 as detailed below.

The T.G Govt. has also providing Sanna Biyyam Super fine  Rice to all the Boarders.

 AMMENTIES PROVIDED  TO THE BOARDERS FOR THE YEAR 2025-26:

  1. Bed Sheets
  2. Carpets
  3. Notes Books
  4. All in one to SSC Borders.(Will Be Supplied in the M/o January 2026)

B ) Maintenance of Post Metric Hostels:

A total number of (07) hostels were sanctioned by the Government in Warangal District for providing boarding facilities to the SC students perusing Post-Matric courses in the district out of which (03) for Girls and (04) for Boys hostels are functioning in the District. For admitted   students we are providing Plate, Glass and Tiffin Boxes Etc. The Telangana  Government is releasing Diet Charges to each student  @ Rs.2100/- per month  irrespective of their course of study w.e.f 01.11.2024. The T.G Govt. has also providing Sanna Biyyam Super fine  Rice to all the Boarders.

  1. Sanction of Post Metric Scholarships :

Post-Metric Scholarships are being sanctioned online to the eligible SC students who are studying  in (117) colleges i.e., Intermediate, Graduation, PG, Professional and Paramedical and other courses,  whose parental income is within 2.50 Lakhs per annum. The entire scholarship amounts including the Tuition Fees (RTF) & Maintenances allowance (MTF) will be paid into the students accounts through  Aadhar payments bride system (APBS). 40% of the scholarship amount (MTF & RTF) shall be releases into the students accounts by  state Govt. and 60% by central share.

  1. Admission of Merit students into Corporate Colleges:

With a motto to provide better education to the poor SC/ST/BC/EBCs Minority merit students of the society.  The Government have issued orders to admit them in reputed private junior colleges with the Government funds for Intermediate with EAMCET vide G.O.Ms.No.235 SW (Edn.2) Department, dated: 28-03-2011.  An amount of Rs.35,000/- per annum to each student is being sanctioned by the Government under this scheme. 

  • Ambedkar Overseas Vidyanidhi:

The Government has introduced a New Scheme called “Ambedkar Overseas Vidhyanidhi” for benefit of SC students who are aspirants to go to abroad to continue the higher professional studies from the year 2013-14.  Under the above scheme the selected students will be a sanctioned @ Rs.20.00 Lakhs to each student towards Financial Assistance to continue their studies abroad and also providing one time flight charges upto 50,000/- & Visa fee upto 30,000/-

  1. Sanction of Pre-Metric Scholarships to S.C Students from Vto X Class

The Government has introduced Pre-metric Scholarships for 5th& 10th Class SC Students studying in Schools run by the Government and local bodies such as Zilla Parishad, Municipalities, Residential Schools KGBVs and Aided Schools. The details are shown below.

  1. Admission of SC students into Best Available Schools:

The Government have issued orders for admission of SC Merit School going children into reputed schools and convents for providing better educational facilities with a maximum amount of Rs.42,000/- to each student.

During the year 2014-15 another scheme for admission of  Day Scholars under the “Best Available Schools Scheme” was also introduced by Government for admission of (100) students  into I Class.  The selection will be conducted in the month of June in lottery basis. Under  this Rs.28,000/- will be sanctioned to each student.

In The  Academic year 2025-26 (62) Residential and (60) Days Scholar students has been allotted.

  • Hyderabad Public School:

In this scheme every year (1) Scheduled Castes   student will be selected to Hyderabad Public School Ramanthapur  for admission into 1st class  and the Government will pay tuition fees  from 90,000/- upto 2,00,00/-  per year on par with general students.

  1. Financial Aid to SC Advocates:

Providing training to poor S.C Law graduates  in the administration of Justice with a view to seeking their employment elsewhere after training .This scheme is introduced in Warangal District form the year 2025-26.

  1. Incentives to Inter Caste Married Couples

The Government is sanctioning an incentive of Rs.50,000/- to each Inter Caste Married Couple those who have performed marriage between S.C. community and other than S.C. community, with a view  to eradicate caste system in the society.  This incentive amount has been enhanced by the Telangana Government Rs.2,50,000/- per inter caste married couple, w.e.f  09/2019.

  1. Scholarships to the Children of those engaged in unclean Occupation.

The Main objective of the scheme is providing scholarships to the students of those parents engaged in unclean occupations to uplift the families which had traditional links with the erstwhile practice of manual scavenging.

  • Monitory Relief & Legal Aid:

In this scheme the victims of Atrocities’ on SCs & STs will paid monitory relief and legal Aid through District Collector.
