WARANGAL DISTRICT

Implementation of following schemes in BC Welfare Department.

      I. MAINTENANCE OF GOVT. HOSTELS:-

      a) Prematric Hostels:- The students who are pursuing their studies from 3^rd to 10^th in any Govt./ Private/ Aided Schools to admit in the Hostel without any entrance test. (04) Prematric Boys Hostels are functioning in District.

      b) Postmatric Hostels:- The students who are pursuing their studies from Inter to PG, Ph.D.,/ any Professional/ Technical Courses in any Govt/Private/Aided Colleges to admit in the Hostel. (08) Postmatric Hostels are functioning in District.

      c) STUDY, HEALTH & HYGIENE OF HOSTEL BOARDERS

• Fresh, Nutritious and Hygienic Food Providing to all boarders as per Prescribed Menu.
• Health checkup have been conducted with the support of District Medical & Health Officer once in a while and kept the General Medicines at Hostel Point.
• Maintained the Health Profile Card of each boarder and registered their Health issues every month on that.
• Providing Safe Drinking Water (Mineral Water/ Boiling Cool Water).
• Security measures have been taken in all Welfare Hostels i.e., always one Class IV employee has been stayed at Hostel for boarders Security.
• Maintaining the Study hours at Hostel points every day morning and evening in the presence of Hostel Welfare Officer.
• Maintained the Academic Profile of each boarder and record the subject wise marks towards improvement of performance of the boarder.

        d)PROVIDING OF AMENITIES AT GOVT. BC PREMATRIC HOSTELS

• Providing Free Accommodation.
• Providing of School Bags, Note Books, Examination Kit, Bedding material i.e., Carpet, Bed Sheets, Blankets, Plates, Glasses, and trunk Box to all prematric hostel boarders with free of cost as per norms.

        e) ENHANCEMENT OF DIET CHARGES:-

        The Government of Telangana vide G.O.Ms.No.9, dated:31.10.2024 has issued enhancement orders for Diet and Cosmetic Charges to the Prematric and Postmatric Hostel boarders. The enhanced Diet Charges details are showing below.,

     f) ENHANCEMENT OF COSMETIC CHARGES: –

      The Government of Telangana vide G.O.Ms.No.9, dated:31.10.2024 has issued enhancement orders for Cosmetic Charges to the Prematric Hostel boarders. This amount will be paid to every month to Prematric Hostel boarders for Purchase of Soaps, Oil and sanitary napkins to Girls etc., and Soaps, Oil and hair cutting charges to the boys. The enhanced Cosmetic Charges details are showing below.,

      II. SANCTION OF POSTMATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS TO BC & EBC STUDENTS:-

        Post-Matric Scholarships will be sanctioned to BC & EBC students who pursue their studies in Govt./ Aided/ Private Colleges which offer courses such as Intermediate, I.T.I., Polytechnic, Degree, DIET, B.Ed, MBBS, B.Tech and P.G. Courses of professional and also M.Phil and Ph.D etc. such students registered online application through http://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in.

     III.ADMISSIONS INTO CORPORATE COLLEGES: 

        The BC Students who achieved merit marks in SSC examination will be selected under this scheme and they will sanctioned Scholarships @ Rs.33,500/- as Tuition Fee and Rs.5000/- as Pocket Money to each student per annum.

    IV. MAHATMA JYOTHIBA PHULE OVERSEAS VIDYA NIDHI SCHEME:-

        The Govt. have introduced the Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scheme to BC & EBC students that who are economically backward to provide financial assistance upto Rs.20.00 lakhs or as per admission letter whichever is less for eligible graduates to pursuing Post Graduate studies at abroad in 10 countries i.e., USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, New Zealand, Japan, France and South Korea in two installments. One way Economic ticket and Visa charges shall be payable.

    V. KALYANA LAKSHMI PATHAKAM:

        The Telangana Government have introduced the “Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam”, wherein onetime financial assistance of Rs.1,00,116/- is given to every bride of Backward Classes and Economic Backward Classes on their marriage. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be transferred to bride or her mother’s account.

   VI. ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE SCHEME:

        Government has allotted (4) seats for the B.C Law graduates to undergo training in Administration of Justice for (3) years. During the training period Rs.1000/- per month stipend, Rs.585/- towards Enrolment charges and Rs.3000/- towards Books & Material (onetime payment) will be paid to them.

   VII. SANCTION OF INCENTIVE AWARD TO INTER CASTE MARRIED COUPLES:

        Under this scheme an incentive award is being sanctioned @ Rs.10,000/- per couple those who have performed Inter-Caste marriage between BC Sub castes as well as other castes (SC, ST, OC & Minority).

   VIII. SANCTION OF SUBSIDY LOANS TO UNEMPLOYED YOUTH FOR SELF EMPLOYMENT:

       The main objective of the (13) BC corporations & (08) Federations, Most Backward Classes Corporation & EBC/EWS Corporations are sanction to eligible unemployed youth who comes under below poverty line and to provide financial assistance through implementation of the schemes like Agriculture Development, Agricultural allied activities, Marketing, Processing, Agricultural productivities supply, Industries, Services, and Business schemes for improvement of their livelihood.

    IX. DISTRIBUTION OF KATAMAYYA RAKSHA (SAFETY KITS) TO PROFESSIONAL TODDY TAPPERS:

        The Government of Telangana has decided to provide “Katamayya Raskha” (Safety Kits) to Professional Toddy Tappers who are extracting Toddy from Palm Trees, the professional toddy tappers while extracting the Toddy from Palm trees sudden fall from Palm trees to avoid death / injuries, these safety kits are helpful.

     X. SUPPLY OF FREE ELECTRICITY SCHEME:- 

        The Government have been providing of (250) units of Free electricity to hair cutting saloons, laundries & dhobighats.., organized by nayeebrahmin and washermen community professionals from Telanagana washermen and Telanagana Nayeebrahmin Federations Hyderabad.
